202 Urdu Speaking foreigners arrive in Islamabad

The plane reached Islamabad airport at 4:08am, and officials had received instructions from authorities not to inspect any of them and clear them immediately.

The foreigners affiliated with the private military contractor Blackwater / Xe Worldwide LLC arrived at Islamabad Airport on Tuesday November 4, 2009 through a PIA flight. “Of the 274 passengers, who boarded Pakistan’s national flag carrier-PIA, flight PK-786 from Heathrow Airport UK, 202 were foreigners but they were fluently speaking Urdu language,” disclosed the sources.

Peshawar: A Peshawar-based journalist Syed Fawad Ali Shah has alleged that he has received life threats from Blackwater (BW) officials and Blackwater is operative in Peshawar. The Blackwater supervisory team in Peshawar includes James Bill William, Copper, Steven Cash, Roderick Christopher and Alisha Cambel, Fawad claimed. He said that they have hired several Pakistani government officials and retired army personnel at remunerations as high as $2,000 per day.

1,200 US Army men issued Pakistani visas

The Foreign Office of Pakistan used its discretionary power for issuing visas to VIPs who go on short notice to Pakistan and do not have sufficient time to take permission from it (FO).

NEW YORK: Pakistan’s embassy in the United States had issued 26 visas to American diplomats, 1,200 to US Army officials and 2,500 to civilians travelling for Afghanistan during last 15 months, the embassy spokesman told.

The spokesman said that since last June to September this year, 12-13,000 Pakistani-Americans were issued visas.

Journalists on hit list of CIA funded Talibans!

The official said officials of the Lahore High Court were also on the hit list of US funded talibans and the warning letter had been circulated to the departments concerned for necessary measures

A main intelligence agency has issued a fresh terror threat warning to the departments concerned, naming some individuals and security establishments in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

According to the warning, CIA and RAW funded talibans might target a senior journalist of Lahore, and a prominent moderate religious scholar who appears on Geo TV, an official said, requesting anonymity.

“Not only Blackwater, but other private military firms are operating in Pakistan”, stated Bob Robert Hathaway, Director Asia Program at Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. In an interview aired on Geo TV, Mr. Hathaway said that visas to Blackwater and other private military personnels have been granted by Pakistani government. If Pakistan does not want their presence, they should contact Washington. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari did not abide by his promises to the people of Pakistan.

(a) Limitation on Security-related Assistance: For fiscal years 2011 through 2014, no security-related assistance may be provided to Pakistan in a fiscal year until the Secretary of State, under the direction of the President, makes the certification required under subsection (c) for such fiscal year.

Action against foreigners carrying weapons!

Foreigners in Islamabad and Peshawar have been advised not to carry any weapons with them.

Islamabad: The interior ministry has issued directives to Police to seize unlicensed weapons from foreigners, if they are found displaying even licensed weapons in any part of the country. It has also advised foreigners not to carry unlicensed weapons and avoid unnecessary display.

The directives have come after several complains regarding DynCorp and suspected Blackwater personnel carrying unlicensed weapons in the streets of Islamabad and Peshawar.
